Designed to replicate traditional timber windows while maintaining the energy efficiency and low maintenance of uPVC our Prestige Collection® Flush Sash window is a real head turner.
Period homes can often be associated with damp and draughty conditions due to ill-fitting windows or ineffective single glazing. Choosing Prestige Collection® flush casements for your home can solve these problems and more. The high specification uPVC frames combined with the energy efficient double glazed glass units will keep your home significantly warmer and could dramatically reduce your heating bills.
The Prestige Collection® has been designed combining the aesthetics of traditional timber casements and the security and energy efficiency of uPVC windows with a few finishing touches that make it stand out from the crowd. Fully mechanically jointed framework and sashes gives it an authentic look and feel, it's only available with foiled wood-grain finishes including the end-caps and it comes with the option of wrought iron monkey-tail handles giving it a true heritage appearance.
Prestige 2 was launched in April 2016 after a joint development excersise with our systems company, Veka UK and Masterframe. Prestige 2 now features a fully mechanical sash that, unlike some other flush sash windows on the market, can be glazed on site. This new corner jointing system leaves no open chambers that require a PVC molding to close it off and has passed the corner [weld] tests that a standard PVCu window would pass.

Now the Technical bit
The Prestige Collection® flush casement is based around our Rustique casement window. Rustique is a 5 chamber, category A profile, this means that the external walls of the profile are between 2.8mm - 3mm (in this case 3mm). All the joints on the framework are milled and assembled to give the appearance of a timber mortise and tenon joint. Our frames are reinforced with galvanised steel to increase rigidity and our new mechanical sash option is assembled using a 3 part milling process and a pair of specially designed corner cleats that have been designed to pass the same strength tests that a welded window would.
For our window hinges we use a combination of the DGS Elite range (for top hungs) and Cotswold EZ easy clean (for side hungs). Both companies manufacture their friction stays in the UK and are well respected within the industry for offering high quality products.
Our locking system is also provided by DGS, the Elite Twin Cam is a high security espagnolette locking system comprising of up-to 8 (4 opposable pairs) adjustable security cams. When operating the handle the cam pairs move in tandem towards each other pinching into the custom designed locking keep attached to the framework. This pinching method holds the opening sash tight in place eliminating the ability to 'jemmy' the sash open. Both the Twin cam itself and the locking keeps carry the Prestige logo helping you recognise a genuine product.
As standard all prestige windows come with Handmade (in the UK), wrought iron monkey tail handles, we also have a bulb end handle within our traditional range and both these are available in either black or pewter. Other handles are also available including the Mila ProLinea & ProStyle as well as the Ventiss range of handles.
