High Performance Double Glazed Insulating Glass Units

The type of glass used in our energy efficient windows is generally known as 'low emissivity' or low-E glass. Generally, the improvement over ordinary glass is made by applying a fine coating to the glass. The more well known low-E product is Pilkington K Glass™. Other products are available which have a better U value such as Planitherm & SilverStar.

Here at Aztec we use Planitherm Total+ glass because of its low U Value, but also because its Low E coating has a neutral colour, as opposed to Pilkington K which has a yellow/orange tint.

For privacy, pure style or to allow more light into internal rooms, decorative glass gives you a whole range of attractive options.

The advantages of decorative glass are easy to see, too: it allows maximum light while maintaining privacy or obscuring unattractive views, and also forms an attractive decorative feature itself.

Diamond or square lead can enhance the look of your windows, the lead can even be ordered "Pre Aged" to match up with older windows or to give that authentic look and feel.
