Double Glazed Low E Glass Units

The type of glass used in the insulating glass units in energy efficient windows is generally known as 'low emissivity' or low-E glass. Generally, the improvement over ordinary glass is made by applying a fine coating to the glass. The more well known low-E product is Pilkington K Glass™. Other products are available which have a better U value such as Planitherm & SilverStar.

Here at Aztec we use Planitherm Total+ glass because of its superior U Value, but also because its Low E coating has a neutral colour, as opposed to Pilkington K which has a yellow/orange tint.

For privacy, pure style or to allow more light into internal rooms, decorative glass gives you a whole range of attractive options.

The advantages of decorative glass are easy to see, too: it allows maximum light while maintaining privacy or obscuring unattractive views, and also forms an attractive decorative feature itself.
